Our next stock of plants will be from cuttings struck in winter 25-26.
After some experimenting, we recently began growing kales using deep root trainers (which are actually designed for growing trees from seed). These promote strong root growth and the formation of a firm root ball, which means less transplant shock. We also trim the plants during the growth cycle to encourage branching, keeping the plants short and compact for ease of shipping. The result is a giant 'plug-plant' which will show explosive growth soon after planting.
Plants are shipped without pots.
