Chenopodiums

A group of highly productive plants with succulent edible leaves and seeds. Some are perennial, some annual. All are great to have in the garden.

Good King Henry (Chenopodium bonus-henricus)
An unfussy perennial that produces succulent spikes and tasty spinach-like leaves early in the year. Seeds are also edible.

Mexican tree spinach (Chenopodium giganteum)
An eye-catching annual that will self seed and reappear year after year. A tasty unfussy spinach alternative.

Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa)
Produces heaps of small edible seeds. Easy to grow and harvest. Leaves are also edible.
